There seems to be all these people coming out of the closet claiming abc is a training method associated with this or that school. There needs to be more disclosure in this manner. Some (a whole bunch) teachers of CMA tend to be dishonest when explaining martial history or heritage and as a result this creates many problems with learning and retaining of this cultural treasure. Basic question and how to know if a thing is true or not:
a. Does the present lineage of Yang Jun teach Taiji Ball?
b. Is this the same Taiji Ball as Dr Yang?
c. Does Dr Yang teach the same Taiji Ball as Yang Fukui?
d. There is no problem if they are similar since the source is the same. If they are different and they calim the same source, what's up with the disparity?

Why go to a fake doctor to cure oneself when a little checking can work wonders for your health and pocketbook!

Tai chi chuan is a strong martial art based upon stilness , calmness, emptiness.
A taichi form, regardless which style, develops good breathing skill and development of very strong waist , internal organs combined with very relaxed movement.
But there are more ingredients needed in developing how to emit power from nothingness in a very short pulse.
Strong connective body tissue, especially from shoulderblade to arms, from shoulderblade downward to hip region and from there to foot.
To fuel this strong connection one needs very good breathing skill, otherwise its like having a very fast car without gasoline.
Question remains; 'how to train this ?"
Many many books are sold, many dvd's are sold with all kinds of stories on how to train,
but the truth is they only give a very very small part of the whole.
The secret is how to train efficient.
The secret is how to use your mind, your focus (thats for everyone different)
The secret is to test it out and make mistakes, test again and again and again, also to adjust your training according to your experiences.
The secret is to be never satisfied .
The secret is to make contact with life force.
The secret is to give up internal fight and make peace with every cel of your body.
The secret is not the ball.
The secret is not the form
The secret is life.

yang fukui implied that he was part of the yang family when this article came out. in the next issue the yang family claimed it never knew him and that he wasn't a family member.
i don't think the yang family tai chi ball idea is true either.
best

I am reluctant to buy into an idea that Yang Lu-Chan developed a Taiji Ball Set. Yang Jwing Ming, maybe. And although I think buttressing Taiji training with other methods is just fine, I would be reluctant to say: check out my Taiji-Systema Methods...or Taijiquan Squats Sets Develop Fajing Power. While true, squats could develop Fajing Power, it seems a stretch to attribute it to an old system. Perhaps I could call it Steven-Taijiquan!
