The Jade Tablet

To circulate the qi (xing qi)
Swallow it so that it will gather
If it is gathered, it will expand into spirit (shen)
When it expands, it will drop.
When it drops, it will become stable.
When it is stable, it will be solid.
When it is solid, it will sprout.
When it sprouts, it will grow.
When it grows, it will return.
When it returns, it will be heavenly.
The heavenly is revealed in the rising of qi;
The earthly is revealed in the sinking of qi.
Follow this and you will live (Shun zi sheng).
Oppose it, and you will die (Ni zi si).
